Beauty #2

"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I think of beauty, I often think of the great outdoors.  I grew up in Newfoundland surrounded by the Atlantic ocean, jagged cliffs and smashing waves.  Every day of my life there was something to see outside that inspired me.  This picture was taken by photographer Melissa Baker of Bake Photography the day before our wedding.  Stephan and I are standing at Cape Spear, the most eastern point of North America.  It really feels like the edge of the earth when you stand there, the cold wind tugging on your clothes and shouting in your ears - but it's somehow peaceful.  It's as if the wind carries off your thoughts, leaving you standing on the earth just as you are.
