Last week we posted about going gray, and one of tips recommended reading this book. We thought we'd give you a little more detail...
Title: Going Gray: How to Embrace Your Authentic Self With Grace and Style
Author: Anne Kreamer
Published: September 2007
About the Book: Anne Kreamer is the former executive VP and worldwide creative director of Nickelodeon. This book is from her own experience of going gray, incorporating interviews from others on their thoughts and experiences with hair and colour. Kreamer covers authenticity and gray, colour in the workplace, beauty and aging, and why we feel pressure to colour.
Thoughts (Andrea): I'm not yet going gray, but am interested in the beauty issues that all women face. Going Gray was an enjoyable read, and I found I could relate to the author in the case of growing out my natural hair colour. The pressure to colour is always there, whether you're a teen or a grandma, and opting out of the dye game can make you feel at times somewhat like walking into a party without pants on - exposed.
