Gettin' Juicy With It: Toronto Juice Bar Guide

Part of a healthy diet these days means juice. Whether you're detoxing or cleansing, or prefer a green concoction over coffee, Toronto is seeing a surge in healthy and delicious liquid options. Not just juice, these shops are invested in flavour and benefits, with recipes and results that are sure to sweep you off your feet. It's love at first sip.

It's nice to know that in a city known for it's foodies, charcuterie and gourmet burger joints, that there's a counter-culture popping up in a neighbourhood near you. If you're pressed for time, or stressed out, feeling a little too toxic, or need a pick me up of the clean and green kind, stop into one of these specialty juicers and find they've squeezed all kinds of goodness into a bottle for you to get healthy on the go. Belmonte Raw
If you're on the east side of the city, Belmonte Raw is your go-to for juice. Offering a selection of juice and three boosters, a selection of kits and cleanses are also available. Greenhouse Juice Co. 
Nut milks, and smoothies and juices - oh my! A new addition to the Rosedale area, Greenhouse Juice Co. also offers a selection of waters and boosters. Packaged in recyclable glass, all options are raw and organic and pressed in-shop. Six boosters are available, among them, The Flu Shot and an anti-inflammatory turmeric elixir. Aloe water and a chia seed hydrator also makeup part of the selection.

Bolt Fresh Bar
A welcome addition to the strip, Queen Street West has a new juice bar. On your way to Trinity Bellwoods to catch a little Vitamin D, bolt into Bolt and pick up a fresh smoothie, juice or shot. Bolt also offers a selection of add-ons such as Sunwarrior protein and spirulina. Smoothies like the Lemon Tart contain more than just fruit, including medjool dates, raw cashews and salt for when something more substantial is in order.

Live Organic Raw
Far before "juice" and "craze" were found in the same sentence, Live was cold-pressing fruits and veggies and offering cleanses available from their raw restaurant on Dupont. A second location opened last year in Liberty Village and offers more of a grab-and-go set up, great for getting juice during the workday or stopping by for a refreshing treat. Three Cleanse options are available, along with discounts for pals and a wholesale option. Delivery is available for an additional fee.
